The only characteritic which decides being a short wave radio is good or not is the
reception. The top line are both Sony's and the Satellit 700 until summer 2005. Since
August 05 a third radio is in this league: The Eton E1. Satellit 800 & 500
are not in this league. I assume even modern 200 $ radios such as Sony 7600 GR,
Grundig YB 400 and Sangean 909 (Radio Shack DX) are better then these.


The only balanced radio is the Satellit 700. It is complete equipped, combined with high
quality standard packed in an ageless cabinet.
